About Us

Steady Home Physio was created from a clear vision:

”To ensure that people receive the high-quality, personalised care they deserve beyond the hospital walls”.

After years working in busy hospital environments, one thing became impossible to ignore — so many patients were discharged home without the continuity of physiotherapy support they genuinely needed. I would often wonder how they would cope once they were outside my care, limited by long waitlists, transport challenges, or simply not knowing where to turn next.

Steady Home Physio exists to close that gap.

We bring physiotherapy directly to individuals across Melbourne’s North-Western suburbs, making rehabilitation more accessible, more personalised, and more meaningful. For us, home visits are not just convenient — they allow us to truly understand the person behind the condition: their goals, their environment, their challenges, and their strengths.

We believe great outcomes come from genuine connection and personalised care.

We take the time to listen, to learn people’s stories, and to tailor treatment that fits who they are — not just what their diagnosis says.

Lucas Virathone

Founder & Principal Physiotherapist

Hi, I’m Lucas — the founder and principal physiotherapist behind Steady Home Physio, and a proud dad who understands firsthand how important it is to stay mobile, independent, and able to enjoy the moments that matter most.

I’ve worked across both public and private hospital systems, supporting people in acute care, rehabilitation, and community settings. These experiences showed me how differently each person experiences their health journey — and how important it is to have continuity and support once they return home.

That’s what led me to home-based physiotherapy.

My approach is grounded in connection, communication, and practical, evidence-informed care. I take the time to understand each person’s environment, routines, and goals, creating realistic, meaningful treatment plans that help rebuild strength, manage pain, improve mobility, and support long-term independence.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my family, which keeps me grounded and inspired to help people move better and enjoy life more fully.
